My Story

My life has been an interesting dynamic and had many experiences and life choices. My aha moments were the ones that got me to push past my current situation and move to where I am today.

Working was a huge part of my identity and in retrospect, a little off balance. I am proud of the challenges in different areas of my life that I have been able to overcome. One of my biggest challenges was when I got laid off from my job along with 250 other people and had to figure out what was my next opportunity. Luckily, it was a great opportunity for me to grow my skills, leadership, and income.  Getting laid off turned out to be a blessing for me.  I have been drawn to coaching and had gone through various assessments--that all validated my strengths and helped me to realize that I am in the right place to impact lives through my coaching.

Fun Facts

  • Grew up in a small town in Upstate New York with five brothers and sisters.

  • Started working at age 10 when I had a paper route--getting up before dawn to deliver papers in the mailboxes and inside the front doors (not at the edge of the driveway) in the snow.

  • Was always driven and soon realized that my biggest joy is helping people.

  • Love learning--it is something I enjoy and need to thrive--I am always reading a book, a blog, or listening to a book on tape--Always open to learning something new, and love learning from my clients -- It's a partnership.

  • Have a favorite quote: "Man's reach should exceed his grasp, or what's a heaven for?" Robert Browning

  • Thrive on coaching and leading others to reach their full potential--This is where I am in my element and at my personal best.

Serving the Community

I enjoy serving in my community through my involvement with St. Ann’s CareerQuest and also have led the Life Lessons Networking at Hotel Equities. This is a mind, body, and spirit-led group focused on the unemployed and the underemployed.

In my spare time, I love to run on trails and have completed several marathons and ultra-marathons, 10K's (including 23 Peachtree Road Races), and many 5K races. I play Alta Tennis and enjoy reading or listening to books.  Gardening is very relaxing for me and we have many varieties of hydrangeas, perennials, and herbs. Cooking is my creative outlet, where I like to identify what is in something and create it on my own with some help from Cooks Illustrated, Milk Street or Serious Eats. I am married for 20+ years and have a grown daughter. We are golden retriever lovers and enjoy running and playing with our Brix.
